The Youth Services Department will educate and empower youth in Cook County to be safe; responsible; and crime and drug free. Staff will use the most current information and technology in a cost efficient manner to:
- Research, develop, and facilitate prevention programs that address current issues related to youth especially in the areas of violence.
- Provide opportunities for youth leadership and development.
- Promote community involvement by recognizing and awarding youth for their accomplishments.
- Provide resources to families, schools, organizations, and other agencies to encourage positive youth development.
