CIVIL PROCESSING - EVICTION OFFICE

Q. Where can I find my district and receipt number?
A. Both numbers can be found on the computer generated letter you will receive from the Sheriff’s Office. The district number will be written in red in the top left hand corner, the receipt number will be in the center of the page on the first line between the case number and the Sheriff’s number.

Q. How much does an eviction cost?
A. The fee to file your eviction for enforcement is $60.50

Q. How do I cancel my eviction after it is filed?
A. Evictions must be cancelled in person at the Eviction Office. You must provide your district and receipt number and photo identification to cancel an eviction. You can cancel evictions via telephone only if they appear on the eviction schedule the day you call or the next business day; again you will need your district and receipt number to cancel the eviction. You will also be required to appear in person at the Eviction Office to sign for the cancelled eviction before any refund can be processed.
