Corey Chan works with inmates doing deconstruction in the Neighborhood restoration initiative

Corey Chan works with inmates doing deconstruction in the Neighborhood restoration initiative.

What is the program?

The Sheriff's fellows work in many different departments, including research, evictions, community restoration, intelligence, and more. See the fellow's page for a more complete list of what this summer's fellows did. Those in the program will be assigned to a department supervisor and design their own research projects. We have weekly progress meetings and many other activites such as tours of the jail and courts, ridealongs with sheriff's police, and meetings with county decision makers and policy advisors. Fellows will have a chance to make an impact by presenting their findings at the end of their fellowship.

When and where is it?

Fellows will have their time divided between the Daley Center offices and the executive offices at 26th and California over a span of two months. The program will occur in the Fall, Spring, and Summer.
