Monday, January 4, 2010 — Cook County Sheriff’s Police are asking the public’s assistance in locating a missing Maine Township woman.

Sangitagen Patel, 32, was last seen Saturday morning, between 8am and 9am near her home in the area of Ballard and Dee in unincorporated Maine Township.  Patel was dressed in her black Subway Restaurant uniform pants and a purple jacket, purportedly walking towards the bus stop to go to work at the Subway Restaurant in the Palwaukee Plaza in Wheeling.  Patel does not own a cell phone nor does she drive; she takes the bus to get to and from work.

Patel is described as an Asian female, 5 feet 2 inches tall, 125 pounds, brown eyes and black hair.  Patel speaks limited English. There is no history of domestic trouble between Patel and her husband nor does she have a history of leaving without contacting her husband.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Cook County Sheriff’s Police Investigations Section at (708) 865-4896 or the Sheriff’s Police Communications Center at (847) 294-4729.
