MELROSE PARK MAN CHARGED WITH MOLESTING JUVENILE
Thursday, April 30, 2009 — Bond was set today at $100,000 for a Melrose Park man accused of molesting a child known to him, the office of Sheriff Thomas J. Dart announced.
Nick Delaney, 23, of 2300 block of Mannheim Road, Melrose Park, was charged with two counts of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse. Sheriff’s Police picked up Delaney on April 28 after receiving a tip about the abuse from a concerned acquaintance. During interviews with Sheriff’s Police detectives, Delaney admitted that on multiple occasions he had fondled an 8-year old relative.
Delaney faces 3 to 7 years in prison if convicted. His next court date is May 5, 2009.
